During the second quarter of 2024, the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on Android in Egypt showed varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Data from Sensor Tower reveals interesting trends for inDrive. Save on city rides, DiDi Rider: Affordable rides, Uber - Request a ride, Careem – rides, food & more, and DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash.

inDrive. Save on city rides saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting from about 66K in early April and peaking at approximately 102K in mid-June. The app's weekly active users fluctuated, with a low of 436K at the end of May and a high of around 559K in early June.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced steady downloads, beginning at 42K in early April and reaching around 57K by mid-June. Active users showed a slight decline from 178K to about 168K over the quarter, with a brief dip to 151K in late May.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent download rate, starting at 34K in April and peaking at 42K in mid-June. The active user base remained strong, fluctuating between 744K and 855K throughout the quarter.

Careem – rides, food & more had stable weekly downloads, beginning at 11K in early April and reaching up to 17K by mid-June. Active users increased from approximately 109K to 125K, with a peak of 129K in early June.

DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash saw weekly downloads start at 9K in early April and increase to 13K by mid-June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 22K and 24K over the quarter.
